Hello Canyon Hills Rattlers!
Week three is in the books and we have been busy! Here's some highlights: Ms. Ward and Mr. Stewart started visiting 9th grade classes to talk all things Class of 2025. We finished all schedule changes. I have been going in and out of classrooms seeing the amazing work our students are doing. The Homecoming Football game is September 24th at home, and we are looking forward to it. Also, we will have a Homecoming Event in October--stay tuned for details! Next Wednesday, the 22nd, is Make-Up Picture Day. Check out the JV Field Hockey picture below; they were Tournament Champions last weekend!

We want to congratulate the following semi-finalists:

PSAT is being offered to all 11th graders right now. In the Spring we will be offering it to 10th graders for a fee. Stay tuned for that. They will take place on October 26th, 2021.

BLUE SLIPS ----PLEASE READ
WE DO NOT HAVE OFFICE MONITORS. STUDENTS MUST PICK UP
BLUE SLIPS IN THE ATTENDANCE OFFICE! MUST HAVE A BLUE SLIP TO LEAVE CAMPUS.
Requests for early release (Blue Slip) must be submitted BEFORE 8:00a.m.on the day of release (parents may phone in PRIOR to 08:00 a.m. or send a note with your student and he/she must bring it to the Attendance Office PRIOR to 08:30 a.m.)
Requests for early release received after 8:00 a.m. on the day of release cannot be honored.
Students who become ill during the school day MUST visit the Health Office for assessment. If is determined that a student needs to go home, parents will be contacted and the Health Office staff will issue the Blue Slip.
Substitutes:
There is a severe shortage nationwide for subs for teachers when they are ill. In order to help, the district has given us two people everyday who can fill in. However, if there are more than 3 teachers out we will have to combine classes in the media center with social distancing protocols. Please be aware this may happen. We are doing the best we can and we want them in their classrooms but subs just are not available to cover every class.
Class of Booster Groups:
Do you know the best way to stay involved in what is going on with all things Class Of????
Want to help make students' Prom and Graduation and Grad Night the best it can be?

SENIORS
Do you have a Senior? Well CHHS has a Booster Club so you can stay up to date on things and events pertaining to them:
The Canyon Hills Parent Class Boosters is a parent organization that supports your student's graduating class (22, 23, 24, 25) with activities and events not typically sponsored by the school. As your student approaches senior year, through fundraising and donations, this group helps offset the cost and implement activities like grad-night, senior luncheon, graduation venue, powder-puff, and more. Let's connect so your student can have a great senior year!! https://sites.google.com/view/serraclassboosters/homePlease remind your students that school begins at 845 AM--be on time!
