Hello Rattler Nation,
We had a fun Spirit Week this week, and everyone looks forward to the break. This blog will serve as our blog going into the week of return, so you can reference it next weekend. The school is closed as everyone here also enjoys time with their families.
Fall Sports are not over!: Miles Pike competes in Fresno for State.
Principal's Coffee will be that Friday, so mark your calendars. We also received our enrollment numbers, which are going up, which is very exciting, and we are looking forward to the Class of 2028. Our best Spirit Day by far was Dress Like a Staff Member Day. We also had terrific tours and club rushes for them this week; they were excited, and some admitted they were a little scared. Check it out:
Dress like Jonn Pisapia!!!!!! Amazing
Mr. Willis and Gonzalez thought it would be funny to dress up as seniors!
Dress like Mr. Moller!

Federal Survey Cards: FSC:
Federal Survey Cards can now be filled out online on PowerSchool. I want parents to complete the Federal Survey Form.
Dear Parents:
The federal survey form is now available for you to complete online on the Parent Portal. Click HERE for the Link. If you are asking why, you should fill out this form. Please know that these funds are designated to assist our district, which has federally connected students. Many of our students (Canyon Hills) are federally connected based on where they live or their parents work. This form becomes part of the district’s general operating budget and supports instructional activities for ALL STUDENTS.
If you have any questions about the form or how to access the parent portal, don't hesitate to contact Ms. Rosa at rpenamoya@sandi.net or 619-605-8100 ext. 3029. Thank you in advance for your support. We will also follow up via email and phone to ensure a high percentage of connections.
Sincerely,
CHHS Administration
Saturday School is Back: ONLY TWO MORE THIS SEMESTER
Dec. 7 Dec. 14 (last one of Semester 1) |
Students with absences and tardies must make them up in Saturday school. Failure to do that starts excluding them from things like Homecoming, Prom, Senior Activities, etc. FIRST SEMESTER ABSENCES AND TARDIES carry over to Semester 2, so they must be made up now. Teachers are lenient for late students due to construction; however, if your child is still delinquent, please discuss why everyone else can get there but your students still can't, even with all the grace given.
Saturday School Signups are here:

School Lunch Feedback:
As part of our ongoing efforts to gather valuable feedback, we have created a survey for parents to share their insights on our breakfast and lunch menus.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could help by forwarding the survey to parents via your communication channels.
Receiving a wide range of responses will be crucial in developing our menus for the next school year. The survey link will remain open until Tuesday, November 26.
Here it is in several other languages as well:
Thank you for your support!
Athletic: ALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION--PLEASE GO TO https://chrattlers.com/.
Athletics is a very complex program—it's like running a separate school. While I can highlight a few things here, you must check that website daily and contact the proper coaches. This blog highlights sporting events with pictures and celebrations but doesn't get into the operations of athletics. Please bookmark that site so you have it. CHHS has one of the most extensive programs in the county and state.
Winter Sports are in full effect, and you can check out the actions on Maxpreps and chhsrattlerlers.com
