Four Day Weekend Ahead!

Hello Rattler Community,

We had an amazing week filled with tons of student activities. We had several winter sport Senior Nights--picture above--, a phenomenal play, and hallway decorating for our Winter Dance. ASB is going to be putting on a ton of stuff in the next month and we are excited for it. I can't tell you how proud I am of the girls in the play; it was an all girl cast! and our seniors. I got very emotional watching them at their Senior Nights. The last time I was really with them was when they were freshman....THANKS COVID!!! and they were all my size.....NOT anymore. I was able to see almost all the senior nights-- if only for a moment-- as many games were going on all over the county.

Check out how Yolanda Winslow brought down the house with her strut through the cheerleaders for her Senior Recognition! So proud of her!

VAPA Seniors: and let's not forget we have Seniors to celebrate as well in our programs other than Athletics: Below are our band Seniors who we are so sad to loose as they are pivotal to keeping the music program going. Thanks Kate Chasin for rallying them up for me to get this picture!

Play: Wolves by Sarah Delappe

I can not tell you how amazing our Theater teacher is. The plays are dynamic and not your "run not the mill." He does performances that are relevant and realistic to the real world. Its worth every penny--which isn't that much to see them. Please support the arts here at CHHS. Music and Drama are pivotal to the community and to students. I was so proud when I saw a bunch of athletes come and support the play. It was about a girls soccer team. I felt like I was really right there with them and the conversations were exactly how our children talk to one another. It was so funny. The girls in the play are not "drama girls" however you couldnt tell. They crushed it. Shout out to all of them:

Isabella Alcorn

Casey Rasch

Shayda Pirouzian

Xuan Nguyen

Emily Davila

Mattie English

Jasmine Esquivel

Gina Lagomitzis

California Healthy Kids Survey for Parents!--PLEASE fill this out!

Parents and Guardians of the Class of 2023 (11th) and 2025 (9th):

Every year we ask parents of our 9th and 11th grader students to complete the parent survey for the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS). Your feedback will provide us with valuable information about how we are serving your student in several areas: social/emotional, academic, safety, community and culture, among a few others. We utilize your feedback when we plan for each school year and consider your parent voice very important. Will you please take a few minutes to fill this out for us? We appreciate your time and input so that we can make CHHS the best it can be! Our 9th and 11th grade students will also be taking the survey in their Science classes in the next month.

SENIORS

Do you have a Senior? Well CHHS has a Booster Club so you can stay up to date on things and events pertaining to them:

The Canyon Hills/Serra Parent Class Boosters is a parent organization that supports your student's graduating class with activities and events not typically sponsored by the school. As your student approaches senior year, through fundraising and donations, this group helps offset the cost and implement activities like grad-night, prom, senior luncheon, graduation venue, powder-puff, and more.
