End of Grading Period, Colorguard, Alumni Game and More

Hello Rattler Nation!

Another amazing week! We had athletic tryouts wrap up, the budget process for next year is starting, we started undergoing the WASC process--which accredits our school so we know our diplomas mean something, and attended several school events. One of those events is above. We hosted the West Coast Winterguard Competition last Saturday and I got to watch our Winterguard in action. They did a performance by Adele and it was really something to watch! Great job! Also in regards to the VAPA, we want to congratulate Johnny Avila for winning the VAPA Spotlight Artistic Achievement Award in addition I was awarded the VAPA Spotlight Creative Community Engagement Award by SDUSD for my advocacy for the arts. VAPA is alive and thriving here at CHHS. We also look forward to our Winter Formal tomorrow night!

The Alumni Lacrosse Game!!!!!! It was originally scheduled for December 30 but rained out. Luckily, we were able to reschedule the game for Saturday, February 18, during the President's Day weekend. The experienced Alumni Team scored over our new 2023 team, 10-4, and stayed after the game to enjoy pizza, sponsored by the CH Boys Lacrosse Booster club, and meet our players.

We are now doing an Athletic Weekly; this is created with the most accurate data we have at the time, and we understand things change last minute, so always check MaxPreps as well.

Booster Clubs are created by each "Class Of" to raise funds to create unforgettable experiences for your students. Items include caps for graduation, prom ticket prices lowered, organizing Grad Night, and having fundraisers to pull this off. They work very hard and need your support. Please go to your student's "Class Of" website and join the registry to stay up to date on all things going on with your student's graduating class.
