Hello Rattler Nation,
I hope you all are well and ready for this to be the last week before we move into our much-needed break. We had many things happen over this weekend, and I wanted to wait so I could highlight them here. This week, we have night events. Please see the calendar below so you can come and support us! We have a lot of athletics going on as well. Spanish Tutoring starts Semester 2, and the flyer is at the bottom of this message. My blog will come out this Friday for the week we return.
CHHS made history by winning its first CIF Cheer Competition. This was also the first time we had ever competed, so all the other schools in the county knew to watch out for us as we dominated. We are so proud of them and Coach Alisha.
Chavistas were in Bonita doing what they always do: giving back to their communities. They organized a toy drive here at school and then participated in the giving on Saturday. We are so proud to have them on our campus.
Girls Basketball gave back to their communities:
It was rewarding for the CHHS Girls basketball program to participate in the 6th Annual 2024 Making San Diego Smile event. This was our 2nd year participating, and they helped put smiles on 225 kids' faces for this holiday season! Each kid received $100 to purchase anything they wanted for themselves or their family.
Mr. Snedden and the CIF program did a community service project to help the campus be impressive through CIF. They built huge Adirondacks for picture opportunities and great art pieces for our school. Check them out.
SPIRIT WEEK is HERE! Make sure your child participates in the fun.
Finals and Schedule: The finals are the week of Dec 16-20 on the W, TH, and F.

Athletics is a very complex program—it's like running a separate school. While I can highlight a few things here, you must check that website daily and contact the proper coaches. This blog highlights sporting events with pictures and celebrations but doesn't get into the operations of athletics. Please bookmark that site so you have it. CHHS has one of the most extensive programs in the county and state.
