Hello Rattler Nation-

We have been very busy this week with so many events and athletic contests. We have Spirit Week next week, the end of P3 on Thursday, and then it is a four-day weekend. Make sure you read this in its entirety so you can see all the amazing things we are doing on campus!

Principal's Coffee was this morning: HERE is the presentation in case you missed it.

Few Reminders:

Semester 1 absences roll over in Semester 2.

HOW IT WORKS: There is a link with a date (see below). The link opens on WEDNESDAY before Saturday. It begins on that day because we need to staff it appropriately. Years ago, we opened it on Mondays, and many students signed up, but they never showed up. Then the staff showed up, and we had to send them home.

If you do not maintain proper attendance, you will start losing privileges if your attendance is not recorded correctly and cleared. Sign up below to view the following dates and mark your calendar.

Job Opportunities:

Collaboration with Farb Middle School:

Canyon Hills High School and Farb Middle School are excited to launch the Friday Night Live (FNL) Mentoring Program! This program is a partnership between the San Diego County Office of Education’s Friday Night Live Mentoring Program, SAY San Diego’s Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Program, and the San Diego Unified School District Wellness Centers. The FNL Mentoring Program connects trained high school mentors with middle school students to build positive, supportive, and trustworthy relationships. Through fun, student-led activities, high school mentors help build leadership and communication skills while encouraging healthy choices, substance use prevention education, and confident decision-making. With ongoing training and support from program staff, mentors are empowered to create a safe, inclusive space where students can connect, grow, and learn from one another.

Athletic: ALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION- chrattlers.com

Athletics is a very complex program. It's like running a separate school altogether. While I can highlight a few things here, you must check that website daily and contact the proper coaches. This blog highlights sporting events with pictures and celebrations, but doesn't get into the operations of athletics. CHHS has one of the most extensive programs in the county and state.

The AW Weekly: This lets you know about all the home games happening around campus, so your students can get involved, whether cheering on their friends or participating directly. Your family can also come out and support you.
