Hello Rattler Nation-
CCTE Pathways have been very busy with hands-on learning. While some of the projects are very technical (at least to me), others are used to teach concepts for the more technical projects later, or in the second or third course. Above is engineering where the students were tasked with engineering a game to play with their engineering classmates.
Here are some more:

In addition to Engineering, here are all the other Pathways we have and are currently in the process of building a robust VAPA program as we move into the 4x4.

Few Reminders:
Semester 1 absences roll over in Semester 2.

HOW IT WORKS: There is a link with a date (see below). The link opens on WEDNESDAY before Saturday. It begins on that day because we need to staff it appropriately. Years ago, we opened it on Mondays, and many students signed up, but they never showed up. Then the staff showed up, and we had to send them home.
If you do not maintain proper attendance, you will start losing privileges if your attendance is not recorded correctly and cleared. Sign up below to view the following dates and mark your calendar.

Miramar College & CCAP Parent Information and Enrollment Events
We are excited to share important opportunities for our students and families interested in earning college credit and planning for life after high school.
Enrollment Support for Class of 2026 Seniors Miramar College representatives will be on campus to assist graduating seniors who plan to attend San Diego Community College District schools (Miramar, Mesa, or City College) next year. These Enrollment 101 workshops will provide hands-on support with the college application, financial aid (FAFSA or Dream Act), San Diego Promise, and academic planning. Students will also receive guidance on setting up their college portal and mapping their first semester with a counselor. These workshops are designed to ensure students are fully prepared for a smooth transition to college.
Spring 2026 CCAP Family Night – Mandatory for Participating Families.
2026 CCAP Family Night on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 5:30–6:30 PM in the CHHS Media Center.
During the presentation, we will review:
CCAP expectations and student responsibilities
The benefits of earning college credit in high school
Important next steps in the enrollment process
College and high school representatives will be available to answer questions, and we will raffle off free Miramar merch to attendees.
This meeting is required for first-time CCAP students and strongly encouraged for all students and families planning to enroll next year.
Please RSVP here: tinyurl.com/SPRINGCCAPRSVP26
This event will cover program expectations, student responsibilities, enrollment steps, and the many benefits of participating in CCAP. College and high school representatives will be present to answer questions and guide families through the process.
We strongly encourage families to take advantage of these valuable opportunities to support their students’ college and career readiness.

Athletic: ALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION- chrattlers.com
Athletics is a very complex program. It's like running a separate school altogether. While I can highlight a few things here, you must check that website daily and contact the proper coaches. This blog highlights sporting events with pictures and celebrations, but doesn't get into the operations of athletics. CHHS has one of the most extensive programs in the county and state.

🏀 Congratulations to our All-League Selections! 🏀
I’m incredibly proud to announce that the following players were selected to the All-League Team for our City Conference. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to our program truly paid off this season.
As coaches, we are not allowed to vote for our own players—these honors are voted on by the other coaches in our league. That makes it even more special to share that we were the only school with all five of our nominated players earning 1st- or 2nd-Team honors!
So proud of each of these young ladies and everything they accomplished this season.
⭐ 1st Team
• Anyala Saulo
• London Waggoner
⭐ 2nd Team
• Kaela Sancha
• Tatiana Santana
• Sophia Wilson
The AW Weekly: This lets you know about all the home games happening around campus, so your students can get involved, whether cheering on their friends or participating directly. Your family can also come out and support you.

See you next week!
