Pep Rally, Movie Night Success and Home Football Game Tonight

Hello Rattler Nation!

All I can say is WOW about this past week. CHHS Administration toured every single classroom multiple times. We met students who recognized us from our videos, chatted with staff, and looked at the classroom environment regarding cell phone use. I was astounded at how outstanding the students have been in recognizing it is an issue not only for staff to manage but also for them. I have never seen so much personal/actual human-to-human engagement as I saw this week! We saw less than ten phones out. Amazing! We also had a staff member have a student put a strategy on social media, which has over 3 million views! We are all working to create something special here, and your support is pivotal to this effort! Let your students know how proud we are of them!

We had a great pep rally this morning. It was the loudest and most participatory we have ever had. The SPIRIT was amazing. Here is a quick video for you to look at. Students performed, competed in games, and had a lip sync competition!

We had a fantastic Movie Night Friday that was widely attended. It feels so great to have students on campus taking an active role in school spirit. Another way your students can participate in our Football Game tonight is beach-themed, and beach attire is encouraged. Here are the details of the game.

Football Game Tonight: We have a Home Game Tonight vs. Chula Vista

Please reach out to https://canyonhillsfoundation.org/contact-us and let them know you want to be involved.

The first Introductory Meeting is Wednesday, June 14th at 6:30 in the Media Center on campus.

Counselors are here to help you! Your students ask to see their counselor by going to the CHHS website and clicking on the "Counseling Tab"-then, they click on their counselor to fill out the form. Counselors will then call them to the office. The days when I was in high school, you went to the Counseling Office and waited around. This is much more streamlined today. However, in emergencies, you ABSOLUTELY can just come on in. Want to pop in and ask a question during the passing period...of course! Here's what the page looks like:

SENIOR CONTRACT: Has been developed and will be going out to all seniors next week during class presentations. Please make sure you pay attention to this as it has procedures from the district and school for things such as graduation, getting a diploma, and prom.
