Dear Serra Community,
We had an amazing week this week. I'm not sure about you but this distance learning and working from the house is a "little" exhausting. Please try to remember to take care of yourself and your students; you all deserve it. All of you have stepped up and helped as a community, and my team is blessed to work with you.
Open House is this week and communication specifically will be going out for that starting next week. Remember it is Thursday from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.
We have amazing Boosters at Serra (groups that raise money for a specific cause) and we can't do it without them. If you haven't done so, please make sure you always read to the end of the blog as that is where the "Class Of" Boosters are located so you can get involved. If you have a child at Serra then there is a booster for them and if you are willing we would love to have you!
Lastly: We need your input still on our Governance and SSC positions and voting closes Sunday!
Please look at the biographies for each candidate by clicking here

LOGO WEAR--POSSIBLE LIMITED EDITION--THROWBACKS
In order to raise the spirit of the school while also raising monies the Foundation sells Serra LogoWear. Due to this possibly being the last year we are called "Serra High" you might want to pick up on this opportunity. Once the items are gone we will not make more until we know we have approval of a name change (they could say no). Here is what they look like and you can purchase them by clicking here: https://serrafoundation.square.site/
FEEDBACK SURVEY:
We started a feedback form and we want you to feel you can use it. Please however be specific and please also keep it to items that SERRA can control (talking about politics, or Covid-19, or why I haven't opened school are all not in my sphere of control). We as a team need to review the comments that we can do something about. We want you to feel like you were heard and something happened because of it.
Thank you for your understanding.
SATS:
After much discussion, the district has cancelled SATS moving forward. I apologize but at least we finally have a clear answer.
COUNSELING:
For those of you that don't know, we started a counseling newsletter when COVID hit and we use that to update everyone on everything you need to know. Please look at it weekly! Colleges will be doing presentations and lots of other things are still going on in spite of our situation. Click below for newsletter.
LCFF FORMS--Federal Survey Cards--MANDATORY for all families--we will be calling if not complete:
