Hello Rattler Nation-
We want to wish everyone a restful break, safe travels, and wonderful family and friend gatherings. We have much to be thankful for here at school and today my office staff and I spoke to the power of working in literally the best school ever with the most amazing students and staff. What we have here is really special. Many schools do not have what we do. The energy, care, and inspiration are seen every day. We truly have the best jobs in the world, and we know it! It's worth every single day and hour to be here!
It was a wonderful, rainy week, but still full of cheer. Last weekend, football won on Friday night, and tonight we have semi-finals right here at home at 7. Field Hockey and Cross Country finished with Field Hockey coming in second in the whole county and Miles Pike is headed to state for Cross Country. We are so proud of them! 8th graders came (see above and below), and their energy was amazing, and our Spirit Week was wet yet festive.
We are sending good vibes for football tonight.
Miles Pike advances to State for CHHS Cross-Country: It was a very wet one last Saturday when we watched all the Cross Country boys and girls run in what San Diego might consider a hurricane!!!! Sideways rain and wind, and they put up a hell of a fight! We all left soaked!

Field Hockey is second in the county!!!! We are so proud of you all and continuing to fight in the pouring rain.

Eighth Graders came to CHHS!
What an amazing two days we had hosting Farb and Deportola. They had a blast as well! Check it out! It started with a club rush!

End-of-the-Year TAX Write off???? YES, Please:

Few Reminders:
Saturday School--ONLY a few left this year!!! Semester 1 absences roll over in Semester 2.
Saturday School is not every Saturday. You have been receiving letters via email, and students have been sent additional reminders, with more to follow. If you are a senior, we also had a Senior Contract that was reviewed in class and signed by you.
Please make sure you sign up so you know your child is eligible not only for school activities but also for PROM!

HOW IT WORKS: There is a link with a date (see below). The link opens on WEDNESDAY before Saturday. It begins on that day because we need to staff it appropriately. Years ago, we opened it on Mondays, and many students signed up, but they never showed up. Then the staff showed up, and we had to send them home.
If you do not maintain proper attendance, you will start losing privileges if your attendance is not recorded correctly and cleared. Sign up below to view the following dates and mark your calendar.
Calendar and Dates: We will be previewing the next 2 weeks to know what's coming in the new year.

Monday-Friday | Happy Holiday |
Monday of Return (Dec 1) | Nothing |
Tuesday | Nothing |
Wednesday | Nothing |
Thursday | Nothing |
Friday | Principal's Holiday Coffee |

Athletic: ALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION- chrattlers.com
Athletics is a very complex program. It's like running a separate school altogether. While I can highlight a few things here, you must check that website daily and contact the proper coaches. This blog highlights sporting events with pictures and celebrations, but doesn't get into the operations of athletics. CHHS has one of the most extensive programs in the county and state.
The AW Weekly: This lets you know about all the home games happening around campus, so your students can get involved, whether cheering on their friends or participating directly. Your family can also come out and support you.
