Hello Rattler Nation---
The weeks are flying by and are full of events; it is hard to keep up! Things are just going to get busy as we head into the last 13 days of school. While the days are jam-packed, it is the most special time for our students, and it never gets old year after year. Administration is dividing and conquering for events on and off our campus involving students!
Let's look at highlights from this week:
Theater Showcase:
If you missed this performance at Spring Showcase, there was another opportunity on Friday. It was funny, sad, exciting, and everything in between!
Students Use Film to Spark Conversations Around Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
SAY San Diego and the Video Productions program proudly partnered with Directing Change. This statewide organization empowers young people to explore critical topics like mental health, suicide prevention, and social justice through the creation of film and art.
Students from the Video Productions class, alongside members of Club ELEVATED, rose to the challenge by creating influential, 60-second films to reduce stigma and promote a culture of openness, empathy, and support around mental health.
We’re thrilled to share that students Clara Levacy and Nina Jade Rubi received an Honorable Mention Award from Directing Change for their compelling submissions. Even more exciting, Sophia Lee earned 1st place in the regional Suicide Prevention category and a $500 cash prize for her outstanding work.
Sophia will represent our region in the statewide competition next month, competing for the top honor in California. We couldn’t be more proud of our students for using their voices and creativity to inspire change and bring awareness to such vital issues.
Check out Sophia's Films here:
Mr. Moller scores again with students:
Mr. Moller had a packed house for the Champions League Soccer game at lunch! This is just one of many ways he creates a culture and climate on our campus!
CHHS Visits DePortola:
Our Cesar Chavez Service Club visited DePortola today to discuss community service and build relationships with future Rattlers!

BIG WINS IN ATHLETICS:
Congratulations to Canyon Hills JV Baseball 2025 League Champions

Congratulations to Sarah Chevrette, 2025 Eastern League Girls' Discus Champion
Aquatics:
I was at the Swim Meet this week, and we did a fantastic job.
We had two swimmers advance to the finals. Emily and Logan! Today they won and broke records!

Emily: 3rd place in CIF breaststroke! 5th in 200 IM, two CIF medals, and a broken school record (again)!!!!!
Logan: 1st place in consolation heat!
SOFTBALL: Old Picture: Hard to get a good one through the fence!

I watched softball win today vs. West Hills. This puts us in the power rankings at the top for League Champs! We wish them more wins this week to solidify that we are the true champions.
