WASC Week Ahead, Track Senior Night and New 400 building--Photo and Engineering Facilities!

Hello Rattler Nation!

We had hundreds of people at our Transition Fair last night. It was a huge hit, and parents felt very supported by options after high school. The end of P4 Progress Report is next Friday. Please encourage your students to finish strong. We also had Senior Night for Track; celebrating them was so awesome. WASC visit is happening Monday-Wednesday and is an intense three-day audit of everything CHHS. Please be patient with responses to emails etc, as the entire staff is engaged in varying ways throughout each day into the evening. Many of you asked to see the report which showcases our school. Here is the link for you.

Senior Parents, don't forget to send a flock to Seniors! They will flock almost anything-it doesn't have to be a yard!

Club Elevate:

Club Elevate has been working on a community service project with the Juvenile Services Division to decorate their Juvenile Service Office for students.

The pictures are amazing! Here they are:

New Engineering and Photo Facilities:

Many of you have been asking why no construction is happening...IT IS! just inside currently. We have been working since the summer to create new spaces for our Engineering and Photo Pathway classes. The students will have access to these spaces for the Fall and including maker spaces, dark rooms, and state-of-the-art equipment. We are very excited! Check out the photos:

We are most excited about bringing back an event I created years ago--what was our biggest event of the year, "Pathway Night." We have not done this since before the pandemic. This event is open to all community members, students, and families in the cluster, and pre-Covid, we had hundreds of stakeholders here supporting our students and checking out our pathways! We hope you can join us in returning this as we rename it Community Fest! So please set your calendar for April 26th, 2023.

CCAP for next year's courses

If your student has requested a Miramar College CCAP Dual Enrollment Course for next year for the first time, they need to follow the steps that are outlined here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZIaoEur6n97gDxGXRFQLDnsZYTDo6aWKb5ieA1CyptU/edit?usp=sharing

Instructions and steps have also been emailed to your student by Jeff Thomas with our district, so it may be a good idea to ask your student to check their student email too.

Failure to follow the appropriate steps will jeopardize your student’s opportunity to enroll in these courses.
