Hello Rattler Nation-
Our Evening Market above starts on Friday and will feature food, music, and fun! All are welcome, and come with your families and neighbors to have a great time.
The Market:
We had a great first installment of our evening Market. It was packed, and we had 30-plus vendors, and we will be adding more. There was food, music, flowers, crafts, and more. The community came out to support, and many had not been on campus since the remodel. We look forward to next month!
Women Who Inspire:
Our wonderful female engineering students went and attended the WWI Conference to celebrate International Women's Day and engaged in 15 different workshops while hearing from Jasmine LaFlore, who is an Aerospace Engineer. They were quick to tell me what a great time they had!

Music: St Patty's Day Parade:
Our Band Performed in the Parade Downtown this past weekend and so many people took pictures and sent them to me (there were so many things going on this weekend we didnt have enough staff to go around). We are so proud of them and their commitment to their craft.

Play:
Congrats to ur actors and the play Tarzan. There were six showings, and all of them were packed. The students did an amazing job, and we have such a wonderful Drama Teacher, Mrs. Cantalupo. I never would be able to do what these students are doing, and we are in awe of them.

Laurels for Leaders:
All ASB Presidents are recognized at the annual LFL event, where students get to attend leadership workshops and network with each other. All the ASB Presidents in the same room talking about their leadership and celbrating eachothers commitment to their schools. Bree Britson was celbrated and she has been doing such an amazing job making Class of 2026 Senior Year the best.

Sara Jacobs, Congresswoman, visit!

Sara Jacobs came to visit us to start off the SD County Art Contest. She heard about the amazing artwork our students are doing in Mr. Moller's class, and she said she just had to visit. The students were excited to take selfies with her!
Senior Parents: Celebrate Your Student!

Few Reminders:
Semester 1 absences roll over in Semester 2.

HOW IT WORKS: There is a link with a date (see below). The link opens on WEDNESDAY before Saturday. It begins on that day because we need to staff it appropriately. Years ago, we opened it on Mondays, and many students signed up, but they never showed up. Then the staff showed up, and we had to send them home.
If you do not maintain proper attendance, you will start losing privileges if your attendance is not recorded correctly and cleared. Sign up below to view the following dates and mark your calendar.
Counseling:

ALL THINGS COUNSELING:
Enrollment Support for Class of 2026 Seniors
Miramar College representatives will be on campus to assist graduating seniors who plan to attend San Diego Community College District schools (Miramar, Mesa, or City College) next year. These Enrollment 101 workshops will provide hands-on support with the college application, financial aid (FAFSA or Dream Act), San Diego Promise, and academic planning. Students will also receive guidance on setting up their college portal and mapping their first semester with a counselor. These workshops are designed to ensure students are fully prepared for a smooth transition to college.

Athletic: ALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION- chrattlers.com
Athletics is a very complex program. It's like running a separate school altogether. While I can highlight a few things here, you must check that website daily and contact the proper coaches. This blog highlights sporting events, pictures, and celebrations, but doesn't delve into the operations of athletics. CHHS has one of the most extensive programs in the county and state.
The AW Weekly: This lets you know about all the home games happening around campus, so your students can get involved, whether cheering on their friends or participating directly. Your family can also come out and support you.

See you next week!
