Hello Rattler Nation-
It is that wonderful and hectic time of year as we head into the holiday season. The blog will look a little different in 2026, but for the next month, we will be previewing not a week at a time but weeks. This is so we can all keep track. We have one week to go, with football tonight, Cross Country tomorrow morning, and field hockey at night. We hope to see you there, and yes, we know we will be in the rain. Come prepared!
Spirit Week! Above's Feature Photo:
Spirit Week is coming up, and here are all the details so you can bring your best spirit forward!

National Letter of Intent Day at Qualcomm:
Congratulations to one of our signers on National Letter of Intent Day at Qualcomm. Alina Aldana ! We are always amazed at the time and effort our athletes put in, and it pays off as they secure college commitments and receive scholarships.

Few Reminders:
Saturday School is not every Saturday. You have been receiving letters via email, and students have been sent additional reminders, with more to follow. If you are a senior, we also had a Senior Contract that was reviewed in class and signed by you.
Please make sure you sign up so you know your child is eligible not only for school activities but also for PROM!

HOW IT WORKS: There is a link with a date (see below). The link opens on WEDNESDAY before Saturday. It begins on that day because we need to staff it appropriately. Years ago, we opened it on Mondays, and many students signed up, but they never showed up. Then the staff showed up, and we had to send them home.
If you do not maintain proper attendance, you will start losing privileges if your attendance is not recorded correctly and cleared. Sign up below to view the following dates and mark your calendar.
Cash for College: TOMORROW! If you are a senior family, you should be at this event!

Calendar and Dates: We will be previewing the next 2 weeks, so we know what's coming through the new year.

ROTC: The Group that can't stop giving back to the community!

Cadets logged 190 hours of community service in support of the Annual Tierrasanta Oktoberfest! Our next volunteer event will be this Saturday, supporting the Imperial Beach cleanup (weather permitting).
Our annual Holiday Food Drive is underway! We are collecting non-perishable items for the San Diego Food Bank until December 5th. Collection boxes are available in the main office, media center, theater, ASB room, and NJROTC classroom.
Our Color Guard presented the colors at the Mt. Soledad Veterans’ Memorial service last weekend. They met San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria and distinguished veterans. Mark made the mayor’s Instagram page…he’s a big deal.

The Holidays are Coming, and so are tax write-offs!

THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE:

Athletic: ALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION- chrattlers.com
Athletics is a very complex program. It's like running a separate school altogether. While I can highlight a few things here, you must check that website daily and contact the proper coaches. This blog highlights sporting events with pictures and celebrations, but doesn't get into the operations of athletics. CHHS has one of the most extensive programs in the county and state.
The AW Weekly: This lets you know about all the home games happening around campus, so your students can get involved, whether cheering on their friends or participating directly. Your family can also come out and support you.

We can't wait to see you!
