Happy Memorial Day Weekend

Good Afternoon Rattler Nation,

Prom was a huge success, and all the students looked amazing. It was so great to see what a fantastic time they had. We also celebrated our Valedictorians and salutatorians at the SDUSD Salute to Excellence. Morgan Moore, Tyler Bodenhamer, and Alyssa Murray sat with the fell Val and Sals from other schools. It is quite an accomplishment, and we are so proud. We also had some big wins in athletics as well as we started to close out the year (see below under Athletics). Our Mental Health Fair was also a success. Seniors must do the Senior Survey and other items to walk in Graduation. Please sit down with your senior and go through the checklist. Everything you want to know about Graduation is in a presentation we created below!!!!

COVID cases are rising, and SDUSD has put out a message that masks are strongly recommended. They are not required. I am putting out again the close contact letter as cases here at CHHS are on the rise.

Everything you want to know about Graduation can be found at this link:

NEW PHONE NUMBER: Our school phone number changed over last summer and was in the blog for a while. The phone company has stopped rerouting calls from the old number before you need to make sure you have the correct number. It is right on our website BUT not on the internet. Our number is 619.605.8100; please put this in your contacts list and delete the other number.

Class of 2022 SENIORS, please pay attention!!! You have to clear your absences to graduate! --this is a district policy, NOT a CHHS policy

ALL students can take Saturday School.

Please sign your child up or have them do it themselves.

The following link is on the CHHS webpage as well under STUDENTS:

Parents of athletes, we have reached the end of the athletic season, and we need your help in checking to see if you might have a Canyon Hills Uniform at home (including warm-ups and parkas). Please return all uniforms to your athlete's coach, or if they are a Fall or Winter Sport, please bring the Uniform to the Front Office with your athlete's name attached. Please help us get all the new uniforms back so we can have entire teams next year and we can clear your student-athlete.

Congrats to all our track and Field Athletes and winners of the Track and Field Championships. Our athletes crushed it. Max Miller, Yolanda Winslow, our boys 4x4 relay, Tyler Fogg, Callie White, and Jozie Gisler, to name a few. We are so proud of you and the entire team.

Blood Drive: The blood drive is on June 2nd, 2022

PEER TUTORING for the Class of 2025--but everyone is welcome!

This program is on hold as we are having difficulties getting students to sign up to come to tutoring, and we haven't had any drop-ins. We have willing tutors, but students are not taking advantage of this opportunity.

Do you have a Senior? Well, CHHS has a Booster Club so that you can stay up to date on things and events about them:

The Canyon Hills/Serra Parent Class Boosters is a parent organization that supports your student's graduating class with activities and events not typically sponsored by the school. As your student approaches senior year, through fundraising and donations, this group helps offset the cost and implement activities like grad night, prom, senior luncheon, graduation venue, powder-puff, and more.
