Hello Rattler Nation-
In keeping with custom, I want to thank everyone, including your students, for making this the best place to work not only for me but also for my staff. We thank you for entrusting your students to us. Every day, I am reminded of what it means to work here, and my staff and I are deeply grateful to all of you. When I started here 10 years ago, I had a 16-month-old and a 3-month-old. As you can see above, growing up happens in the blink of an eye. This school has given me so many blessings, including our daughter, whom we adopted in 2018, right here at Serra High School. She graduated from the last SHS class in 2020. My son has made it clear that they want to come here, and I know I am doing everything in my power to create the very best high school for your students and future students, such as my son.

This past week:
We had a fantastic end to the Semester with all sorts of fun around campus, and students finished strong academically. We did so many things:
Cheer wins CIF!
We are so proud of them, and they did a fantastic job, and it was clear we earned it!
Baseball Alumni Game:
Baseball had there alumni game and it was a good time had by all.
We had snow:
It may be hot in San Diego, but that doesn't mean we can't have snow. We have to pay for it, but it was totally worth it, and the kids loved it:
Basketball:
The Girls Basketball Coaches of Canyon Hills and Poway got into the Holiday Spirit for the Game on Dec. 18.

Few Reminders: FIRST SATURDAY SCHOOL IS THE SAT WE RETURN! SEMESTER 1 ABSENCES NOT CLEARED ROLL INTO SEMESTER 2.
Saturday School--
Saturday School is not every Saturday. You have been receiving letters via email, and students have been sent additional reminders, with more to follow. If you are a senior, we also had a Senior Contract that was reviewed in class and signed by you.
Counseling:
Athletic: ALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION- chrattlers.com
Athletics is a very complex program. It's like running a separate school altogether. While I can highlight a few things here, you must check that website daily and contact the proper coaches. This blog highlights sporting events with pictures and celebrations, but doesn't get into the operations of athletics. CHHS has one of the most extensive programs in the county and state.
The AW Weekly: This lets you know about all the home games happening around campus, so your students can get involved, whether cheering on their friends or participating directly. Your family can also come out and support you.
