We had a great week and weekend last week. We finished AP Testing, watched an amazing play, participated in a Pass and Review for ROTC and the Tierrasanta Town Parade. Very busy. It's only going to get busier. See below!

Tuesday: 3:00 PM ROTC Awards in Theater and PTO Meeting
Wednesday: Nothing
Thursday:Spring Concert 7:00 pm is starting time! and the PTO is doing our staff appreciation luncheon! We appreciate you PTO!
CAST Science Testing will take place over 2 days for Seniors, in their English classes.
Honors courses will have End-Of-Course exams
AP Exams are complete! 771 exams taken! We are proud!

6/6/19 Senior Surveys--REQUIRED and you can do it now just go on Naviance and then Clever portal and SHS Evaluation: Students get to tell us how to improve and what we are doing well
6/7/19 Senior Luncheon at 11AM in the lunch court and Rehearsal at 12
6/7/19 Graduation rehearsal and cap and gown distribution at 12PM in the Gym: This year I am paying for half the caps for the class and am allowing decorating. However, there are very strict guidelines for this set by ASB and Administration. See Below.
6/8/19 Grad Nite
6/10/19 Graduation at USD at 2PM
6/11/19 Diploma pick up at SERRA--cap and gown return and senior survey needs to be checked off as done before diplomas will be given.
Last Saturday School Date:
Saturday June 1 at this point in time we will then be notifying those that were at risk for the graduation ceremony whether they are able to go or not. This will be dictated only by zero attendance issues on their record. No other reason. Each Saturday school is 5 period absences. However if your child does not have a 2.0 and 44 credits they will not get a diploma much less participate in graduation.

COUNSELING: PLEASE READ!!!Mark your calendars! Summer school applications are due June 6 by 3:00pm. Your child’s counselor can help identify the courses recommended to retake once they turn in their signed permission slip.
Parents please help push your children to finish the year strong. We still have a few more weeks to wrap up the year and some students are under the impression that the year is over. We have enough time for students to improve their grades!
Our counselors would like to let all seniors know that if they know they will be accepting a scholarship, they can pick up a Senior Recognition Form from the counseling office so that they can be recognized at Senior Award Night taking place on June 6th. The forms are due May 30th to Mr. Stewart in the counseling office.
Also: Did you know SHS is one of the top schools to work with the district to provide jobs to teens? We have students making 40 dollars an hour! Love animals? Check these jobs out!
Booster Information--Booster Information--Class of 2019: At our recent meeting we talked about how we can support one another, making the Class of 2019's last year at Serra the best year. We decided to divide and conquer with SHS footing the bill for Graduation at USD and Boosters supporting events along the way including GRAD Night. We are so grateful to the Boosters.
