Hello Rattler Nation, Happy Saturday-
We had a wonderful and very wet Powderpuff Game this evening, and it's no surprise that the Seniors won. However, the Juniors definitely produced. I thought for a second they might win. Fun was had by all. Check it out:

ROTC Change of Command: (Above)
This event is so special because not only was I a 4-year ROTC kid and my dad served 37 years, but you also get to celebrate the graduating leadership and how grown and responsible men and women they have become, while welcoming the new regime, who we know are going to do great.
Here's a video! Thank you, Mr.Pedersen, and a HUGE thank you to our amazing instructors who have grown this program exponentially!
Some Senior Nights: We were able to get to all Senior Nights in the last few weeks. Here is SWIM, Beach Volleyball, and Track:

Beach Volleyball held a Joint Mira Mesa High School and CHHS Senior Night. The Principal and I are best friends, and it was so amazing to see the connection these teams have for each other. Mr. Sabins and I were so proud.
Here is a video courtesy of the Shoate Family for Track!

GRADUATION: Your one-stop shop! This went to you via email and messenger, and to your students' email addresses.

Seniors:

Calendar: If your child needs SATURDAY SCHOOL, please see below. Athletics are at the bottom

Monday Through Saturday:
Monday | Nothing |
Tuesday | TESTING Spring Concert at 7 |
Wednesday | TESTING |
Thursday | TESTING and Theater Showcase at 7 |
Friday | Principal's Coffee |
Saturday | ColorGuard Competition |
Semester 1 absences roll over in Semester 2.

HOW IT WORKS: There is a link with a date (see below). The link opens on WEDNESDAY before Saturday. It begins on that day because we need to staff it appropriately. Years ago, we opened it on Mondays, and many students signed up, but they never showed up. Then the staff showed up, and we had to send them home.
If you do not maintain proper attendance, you will start losing privileges if your attendance is not recorded correctly and cleared. Sign up below to view the following dates and mark your calendar.
Counseling:

ALL THINGS COUNSELING:
Enrollment Support for Class of 2026 Seniors
Miramar College representatives will be on campus to assist graduating seniors who plan to attend San Diego Community College District schools (Miramar, Mesa, or City College) next year. These Enrollment 101 workshops will provide hands-on support with the college application, financial aid (FAFSA or Dream Act), San Diego Promise, and academic planning. Students will also receive guidance on setting up their college portal and mapping their first semester with a counselor. These workshops are designed to ensure students are fully prepared for a smooth transition to college.

Athletic: ALL ATHLETIC INFORMATION- chrattlers.com
Athletics is a very complex program. It's like running a separate school altogether. While I can highlight a few things here, you must check that website daily and contact the proper coaches. This blog highlights sporting events, pictures, and celebrations, but doesn't delve into the operations of athletics. CHHS has one of the most extensive programs in the county and state.
The AW Weekly: FOR TWO WEEKS! This lets you know about all the home games happening around campus, so your students can get involved, whether cheering on their friends or participating directly. Your family can also come out and support you.

See you next week!
